Read the Room (and the Pins)
I've been moderating proxy-buying Discords for the better part of three years. Do you know what drives the veterans crazy? Answering the exact same question that's already sitting in the pinned messages. Before you type a single word into a CNFans chat group, open the pinned CNFans spreadsheet.
That spreadsheet is the backbone of the community. It's maintained by users who spent hours tracking down active links, comparing prices, and verifying seller reputations. Use the Discord search bar. Press Ctrl+F. If you're looking for a specific vintage jacket, search "vintage" in the spreadsheet before asking the general chat where to find one.
How to Share Your Haul Properly
When your package finally lands, you're naturally going to want to show it off. That's great, but a blurry photo of a crumpled hoodie on your floor doesn't help anyone. If you want to contribute positively, structure your reviews so they actually provide value.
- Include the original link: Always drop the direct seller link (like Taobao or Weidian), not just the CNFans proxy link. This ensures everyone can access it regardless of which agent they use.
- Provide your stats: Saying a shirt "fits great" means absolutely nothing if we don't know your height and build. Tell us you are 6'1", 180 lbs, and ordered a size Large.
- Post in-hand photos: Warehouse QC shots are okay for initial checks, but natural lighting reveals the true color and material quality. Take photos near a window.
- Be honest about flaws: Nothing is perfect. If the zipper feels cheap, the stitching is loose on the inside tag, or the material is surprisingly thin, mention it. Honesty saves the next buyer from making a mistake.
QC Etiquette: Don't Blindly GL
Here's the thing. When someone posts a Quality Control (QC) request, they are spending their hard-earned money based on your feedback. Don't just comment "GL" (Green Light) to get your message count up or to be nice.
If you don't know what the authentic version of a sneaker or bag looks like, just stay quiet. It's infinitely better to have zero comments on a QC post than a false "GL" that leaves a buyer stuck with an obvious flaw. If you do spot an issue, be specific. Instead of saying "looks bad," try "the logo placement on the left shoe is a quarter-inch higher than the right."
Basic Server Hygiene
Discord servers can get chaotic fast, especially when a popular seller drops a new batch of highly anticipated items. Do your part by keeping conversations in the right channels. Put your shipping tracking complaints in the logistics channel, not the general chat. Keep outfit styling advice in the fashion channel.
Most importantly, don't ping the admins or the spreadsheet creators unless the server is literally under attack by spam bots. They manage these lists and communities for free in their spare time.
The Payoff
Being a solid community member actually benefits you in the long run. As you drop good reviews and give accurate QCs, you build a reputation. People start recognizing your username. You might even get invited to private, locked-down Discord servers where the truly rare finds are shared before they sell out. Start by simply doing your homework, relying on the existing spreadsheets, and sharing detailed feedback when your next haul arrives.
